The same care. Your own living room.
Some people can't get to our office two or three times a week. The drive is too long, or work and family don't leave room for it. At-home neurofeedback exists for them.
This is not a headband you buy and figure out on your own. It's the same clinical training we do in our office, on our own equipment, with your protocols designed, monitored, and adjusted by our staff throughout. You put the equipment on and run what we've prepared for you. We handle the rest.
Because the change is learned rather than imposed, it tends to be lasting. And because you're training at home, you can train more consistently than a drive across town would ever allow.

Banner Institute is a faith-based counseling and coaching practice based in Monroe, Louisiana, offering Christian counseling, coaching, neurofeedback, and crisis & high-conflict services.
If neurofeedback is new to you
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive way of helping the brain learn to regulate itself. There's no medication and nothing to push through. Small sensors read the electrical activity your brain is already producing and reflect it back in real time, and over many repetitions your brain learns to find steadier, more organized patterns on its own.
The sensors only listen. Much like a heart monitor reading a pulse, they measure what is already there and add nothing to it. And because the change is learned rather than imposed, it tends to be lasting.
Where it helps
Because neurofeedback works at the level of regulation rather than any single diagnosis, it reaches a wide range of struggles.
Whether that training happens in our office or in your home, the work itself is the same.
We design it. You run it.
Your training is built for your brain. Not for your diagnosis, and not for people who describe their struggles the way you describe yours, but for what we actually see in your own patterns and what you've told us you're hoping will change. Two people who arrive with the same complaint will run different protocols, because underneath the complaint their brains are doing different things.
That plan is yours, and it keeps being yours as it changes. As your brain responds, we adjust what we send. Training rotates and turns over on a schedule we set, based on what we're seeing in your logs and hearing in our conversations. What arrives on your tablet in month three won't be what arrived in week one, because you won't be where you were in week one.
What we ask of you is the running of it. You put the equipment on and work from the protocols we've loaded for you, picking from what's there that week. What you're never doing is deciding what belongs in the plan, building something new, or adjusting how any of it works. We handle that, and we keep handling it for as long as you're training.
What you'll have
You'll go home with everything you need: the neurofeedback equipment and a tablet to run your sessions on. It's small. The whole kit fits in a backpack or a large purse, which means it travels with you if you're away for a week.
Train anywhere that's quiet, comfortable, and has Wi-Fi.
There's no equipment to buy. Using it is included in what you pay for the program, so training at home doesn't mean putting your own money into a system — and when you've finished, the kit simply comes back to us.
What a week looks like
A protocol is one short training run, about fifteen minutes. You can do more than one in a sitting, and most people do.
We ask for at least eight protocols a week. Ten to twelve is ideal. With setup time, that comes to somewhere between three and five hours across the week, done in your own home and around your own schedule.
During a protocol you'll watch video or listen to music that responds to what your brain is doing in the moment. There's nothing to concentrate on and no task to perform. Afterward you log the session, and you send us your log when we ask for it.
You're not doing this alone
Training at home doesn't mean training unsupervised. We check in with you every week, and once a month we meet by video to talk through how it's going and what you're noticing.
Between those conversations, we're watching. Your logs tell us what you've run and when. What we see there, and what you tell us, is what shapes the training we send next.
If something feels off, you don't wait for the next scheduled check-in. You call us.
Getting started, wherever you are
We work with clients anywhere in the United States. There are two ways in, depending on how far you are from our offices.
If you can get to Banner
Your assessment happens in our office, and we'll train you on the equipment there. Then you take it home and begin.
If you're too far to travel
All of it can be handled virtually. Assessment, setup, and learning the equipment are done remotely, and the kit comes to you.
Distance isn't a barrier to this program. Neither is a schedule that can't absorb two or three office visits a week. Some of our at-home clients live in other states. Some live forty-five minutes from our front door and simply couldn't make the drive work.

Is this a good fit?
At-home training works well for people whose distance, work, or family life makes regular office visits hard. It asks that you're comfortable following simple steps on a tablet without much hand-holding, that you can commit to consistent training over several months, and that you're steady enough to train without a clinician in the room.
It isn't the right path for everyone. If following a written routine on your own would be a struggle, or if what you're carrying calls for someone with you during sessions, the office is the better place for you, and we'll say so.
That's not a decision you have to make by yourself, and it isn't a menu option you select. We work it out together before anything begins.
Office or home
In the office, we're in the room with you. We see the session as it happens, and you come in two or three times a week for about an hour.
At home, you trade our presence in the room for access and volume. You train on your own schedule, without a drive. For someone forty-five minutes out, or in another state, or working a shift that ends after we close, that trade is what makes consistent training possible at all.

Why we do this
We believe you were fearfully and wonderfully made, and that the capacity to heal was written into you by the One who made you. Neurofeedback doesn't manufacture that capacity. It clears some of what has been interfering with it. Meeting you at home rather than in our office doesn't change what we're after: not relief alone, but a life more fully restored.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the at-home program usually run?
Most clients train for two to four months, though it varies quite a bit from person to person. Ultimately you're the best judge of how much you need, based on how you're feeling, and training continues as long as it's helping. Our Care Coordinator can walk you through what to expect for your situation.
Do the results last once I stop training?
Because the change is learned rather than imposed, the improvements tend to be lasting, much like a skill you don't forget once you've learned it. That's true whether you trained in our office or at home. For some people, occasional maintenance sessions are helpful down the road; for many, the gains simply hold.
Is this the same as the brain-training headbands I've seen online?
No. Those are products you buy and use on your own. This is our clinical service, delivered in your home on our equipment. We design your training, send it to your tablet, watch how you respond, and change it as you go. You're a client here, not a customer with a device.
What if I miss a few days?
Life happens, and missing days won't undo your progress. Consistency over the months matters more than any single week. If you find yourself falling well short of eight protocols a week for a stretch, tell us at your next check-in so we can look at what's getting in the way.
Can I take the equipment with me when I travel?
Yes. The whole kit fits in a backpack or a large purse, and plenty of clients train while they're away. All you need is somewhere quiet and comfortable with Wi-Fi.
Do I have to live near your office?
No. We work with at-home clients anywhere in the United States. If you can get to our office, we'll do your assessment and equipment training there and send you home with the kit. If you're too far to travel, all of it can be handled virtually instead.
How much does at-home neurofeedback cost?
Fees depend on the length and shape of your plan, so rather than post a single number that fits no one, we discuss cost openly. Our Care Coordinator will walk you through it when you reach out for your free conversation.
If getting here has been the hard part, this may be the way.
One conversation. Twenty minutes. A clear next step.
