His work revolves around helping people discern deep meaning and purpose and aligning these in high conflict situations and periods of major transition, both in personal and organizational life. He specializes in intentional, transformative change in the form of focused individual work, marital therapy and individual and marital intensives. Tom is highly sought after internationally for his experience coaching individuals and organizations through the complex personal, relational and legal dynamics involved in abuse situations. Nikki has an expertise and a passion for working with couples and families. She works from a systemic perspective, focusing on communication and interactional patterns within relationships and family systems.

Deacon James

Operations and Consulting

Drawing from 20 plus years in corporate leadership, Deacon manages operations and leads the Neurofeedback program at Banner.

In his consulting work, he partners with professionals and business leaders through career transition and building strong organizational cultures that foster personal growth. His approach integrates proven management strategies with purposeful development, helping clients achieve professional excellence and personal growth.

Shantray Smith, LPC-S

Therapist and Life Coach

Shantray is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Life Coach. With a masters in marriage and family therapy, she has over 14 years of experience providing Christian counseling to women healing from childhood trauma, abuse, divorce, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. She utilizes EMDR therapy as an additional tool to help clients process the impact of trauma. She blends practical, evidence-based tools with a warm, person-centered style—partnering with clients to build skills, shift patterns, and move toward a steadier, more meaningful life.

Whit Bass, M. Div.

Spiritual Formation

Whit specializes in deep spiritual intervention and strategic prayer. Serving in ministry since 1993, he has walked alongside congregations at First Baptist Church of Harrisonburg, First Baptist Church of Calhoun, First Baptist Church of West Monroe, Life Church of Winnsboro, and Mangham Baptist Church. Whit earned his Master's of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2016 and holds a Chaplaincy endorsement through the North American Mission Board. Today, he extends his vocation into the marketplace, serving as a chaplain and work-life coach for organizations such as Central Federal Credit Union, Standard Enterprise, and Passages Hospice.

Joel Tetreau, D. Min.

Spiritual Formation

Dr. Joel Tetreau brings a robust theological framework and over three decades of counseling and coaching experience to the team. He specializes in navigating delicate situations with steady advice and wise counsel. Joel holds a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling and Church Administration and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. In addition to his role as Director of Partnerships at the Institute of Biblical Leadership, he serves as adjunct faculty at Calvary University and is the Founding Pastor of Southeast Valley Bible Church. He is the author of four books and has served in vocational ministry since 1990.

With a B.A in Theology and a M.A. in Marriage & Family Counseling, he brings a rich blend of biblical wisdom, educational insight, and practical guidance to every mentoring
relationship. His pastoral care and spiritual formation equips him to walk compassionately and wisely alongside those seeking clarity, healing, and growth. His mission is to help individuals and families move boldly into their God-given purpose—spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.

Kelly Wise, LMFT

Therapist

Kelly is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for working with couples and young adults. She is very collaborative in her approach and believes counseling works best when clients feel empowered in decision making and work in partnership with the therapist to discern the path they want to be on. She puts an emphasis on compassion and helping clients understand all behavior makes sense in context.
